Visa will not be liable for the payment of any costs directly or indirectly caused by or resulting from any of the following:
- In respect of Wrongful Detention, any actual or alleged violation of the laws of the host country or a failure to maintain and possess duly authorised and issued required documents and visas, unless the security consultants determines that such allegations were intentionally false, fraudulent, and malicious and made solely to achieve a political propaganda or coercive effect upon or at the expense of the Cardholder and their Family;
- Any Kidnapping of the Cardholder or their Family by a Relative or as a result of a domestic dispute;
- A Cardholder or their Family who has had kidnap insurance cancelled or declined in the past;
- Any Kidnapping of the Cardholder or their Family who has been kidnapped in the past;
- Any Kidnapping, Blackmail or Extortion of the Cardholder or their Family within their permanent country of residence or the country within which the Cardholder and their family are citizens.
- Any Kidnapping of the Cardholder or their Family which occurs in Colombia, Iraq, Nigeria or the Philippines, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, Libya, Yemen, Sudan, Central African Republic, Cote d’Ivoire, Chad, Haiti, DRC / Congo, Algeria, Uganda;
- The payment of any Ransom.
- Any repatriation costs to the Permanent Country of Residence or the country within which the Cardholder or their Family are a citizen of.
- Costs arising as a direct result of any situation highlighted by any Government related body or agency in the country in which you reside, where you have travelled to a specific country or to an area where, prior to your trip commencing, the Government body or agency have advised against all but essential travel.
- Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained above, this programme does not cover any costs consequent on:
- War, whether declared or not, between any of the following countries, namely, China, France, the United Kingdom, the Russian Federation and the United States of America, or
- War in Europe, whether declared or not, other than:
- Civil war,
- Any enforcement action by or on behalf of the United Nations, in which any of the countries stated in (a) above or any armed forces thereof are engaged
- This programme does not cover
- Loss or destruction of or damage to any property whatsoever or any loss or expense whatsoever resulting or arising there from or any consequential loss
- Any legal liability of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by or contributed to by or arising from
- Ionising radiations or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or from any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel
- The radioactive, toxic, explosive or other hazardous properties of any explosive nuclear assembly or nuclear component thereof
